The Dutch long distances walks (Wandelweekend) took place over the weekend of 22nd-23rd May 2010.

This year it was the turn of the RWV and the venue was Princess Beatrix park in Schiedam on the outskirts of Rotterdam.

The weather was hot (same as in the UK over the same weekend!) and judging by reports, it was a well organised race - as always.

The venue is a peaceful, traffic free (and almost people free) park and perfect for a 100 miles / 24 hour race.

Only two British Centurions made the journey to Schiedam to compete in the Wandelweekend. The Dutch do offer a choice of distances - 24 hour, 100 miles, 100km, 50 miles and 50km, so it ideal for anyone who wants to step up the distance.

Chris Flint (as always) in the 100 mile race and Peter Ryan took part in the 50 mile race.

Chris (no.11) finished 10th in 23 hours 26 minutes.
