Centurions Handbook

Milton Keynes AC 2008 100 miles track race

Latest News

The organisers are pulling out all the stops on this one. Mark Wall has presented his and Sue Rey's management plan to the Centurions "Committee" on 12th June and everything seems to be falling into place.

Closing date for entries: 14th July 2008 . There is a limit of 35 walkers - but entries are still available.

The Entry Form is available on this website, and on the Milton Keynes website.

If, however, you do not want to compete - how about volunteering to help?

Lap recording is an unloved job, especially in the wee hours - but it is one of the most important jobs. And whilst MK AC has chip timing in place - there is a need for lap recorders as back up. A hundred miles is a long way to walk whether in 24 hours or not! No-one would want anything to spoil this achievement - and so deny anyone of their moment of glory. After all, this this might be their one and only attempt to walk 100 miles in 24 hours - and thus join the illustrious Brotherhood of Centurions.

And those who have managed to do just this, your experience, knowledge and help is needed. Contact Mark Wall now and pledge your support.
