Dear Fellow Centurions,

I have pleasure in sending you Sandra Brown’s Captain’s newsletter for March.  We had hoped that this would be circulated soon after the AGM but we decided to wait for confirmation of the date and venue of this Summer’s  100 miles in 24 hours event.  It will be at the National Sports Centre at Douglas on the Isle of Man starting at 12 noon on Saturday 3rd. August.  We are indebted to the work of athletes and officials there who have worked hard to secure sponsorship to make this possible.  Each lap will be chip recorded.

Details of a Centurions social walk on Saturday 29th June and we hope to see Centurions coming along to enjoy the day together and do bring along family/friends who may be interested in knowing more about the Centurions and how to qualify as one.  
Booking form to be returned to her Sandra to better judge the numbers interested in taking part and ensure cafes along the route can accommodate the group.

Also, I have taken over from Ian Statter as the merchandise officer.  He purchased a range of good quality fleeces (also a reversible fleece/jacket) and polo shirts, ties, a limited number of plain badges on which you could add your number, and Centenary medals.  Some articles have the Centenary logo on them and they are a good momento of this milestone.  I also have some of the new revised Handbooks. If you are interested in purchasing some Centurions merchandise please let me know.

Now that Spring is round the corner I hope you are able to enjoy the warmer weather and long walks.
