Note that the Palace of Westminster must be totally vacated by 23:00

The dinner (service) itself will finish at around 21:45 although the bar will remain open until 22:30.

Oven dried plum tomato and basil tart

Roasted tenderloin of pork with braised shoulder & balck pudding 'bon bon'

Vegetarian option: Wild mushroom amd ricotta layered with puff pastry & watercross foam.
(Note - you must have told us of your dietary requirement - you cannot change your mind on the night!)

There will be a complimentary pre-dinner drink in the Strangers' Dining Room (adjacent to the Members Dining Room). There is also a cash bar in the Strangers' Dining Room and throughout the dinner itself.

Please note that all drinks during the dinner are at your own expense.

Dress code

  • Men: Suit or blazer/trousers, tie.
  • Ladies: Suit/smart dress
  • (no trainers!!)



Invitations


  • The invitations have now been posted! If you have not received yours- please let us know.

  • You must bring your invitation with you to gain admittance to the House of Commons.



Security
Inevitably, there are security procedures in place in order to gain access the Houses of Parliament.




  • Searches, similar to those used in airports, will be conducted on entry.
  • Passes will be issued which must be worn at all times - note your photograph will be taken (it's very quick)
  • Bags or luggage larger than those permitted in aircraft cabins may be refused entry. Parliament has no facilities for leaving items; commercial outlets are available in nearby Victoria and Charing Cross stations.

  • Cameras may only be used in Westminster Hall (pictured below right) and in the Members Dining Room (top left)
